About Jimmy Armentrout

Jimmy received his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 1993 & his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 1997. In 2002, Jimmy completed his training through the McKenzie Institute & became the first Certified Spine Specialist in McKinney. In 2003, he became one of only 14 therapists in Texas to be accepted into the company’s Manual Therapy Residency Program. He completed this program in 2006 graduating with honors as a Certified Functional Manual Therapist. In 2008, Jimmy became a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association. In 2017 he completed his Trigger Point Dry Needling training and in 2021 he attained his certification in Myofascial Decompression. 

Jimmy has been a faculty member with the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) since 2012, teaching multiple courses. He is a primary instructor for Functional Mobilization I. In August 2023 Jimmy partnered with Ryan Johnson to open IPA Physio Dallas in Plano, TX.  He enjoys helping each patient achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
