About Janessa Devereux
Janessa graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BA degree in Kinesiology, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Colorado Denver. She then completed a rigorous continuing education curriculum to become a Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art in Steamboat Springs, CO. Janessa is certified in trigger point dry needling, and utilizes visceral (organ) mobilization in her manual treatments when necessary. She specializes in running gait analysis with a functional whole-body approach by minimizing energy expenditure and reducing unnecessary load on the joints. Janessa is also certified in mat and reformer Pilates. Her passion is in treating orthopedic and sports injuries using a very hands-on approach, and empowering her patients to truly understand their conditions for optimal outcomes. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and in her free time, she enjoys running, backpacking, snowboarding, biking, and camping.
