About Andreas Mueller
Andreas Mueller, MPT: Andreas attended Concordia University Wisconsin and received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine in January 1999 and a Master’s in Physical Therapy in May 2001. In 2003 Andreas began a three-year, company sponsored, residency program lead by Senior IPA instructor, George Aaron, Jr. The program incorporated all IPA course-work and included additional manual therapy centered course work. In April 2006 Andreas achieved his Certified Functional Manual Therapist credentials, graduating with distinction.
Andreas has been practicing as a staff Orthopedic Physical Therapist with Select Physical Therapy since 2001. He primarily treats orthopedic injuries and patients of all age levels but also utilizes his CFMT skills to help patients with higher-level neurological disorders.
Andreas has been an instructor for Select Medical’s Education Department since 2003. He has instructed nationally on a variety of topics including Therapeutic Exercise, Shoulder, Spine, Hip, Sacroiliac, Post-surgical Care, Soft tissue mobilization and PNF. Andreas has been very involved in course development with Select medical and is focused on incorporating evidence based manual physical therapy into course content.
In 2011 Andreas began teaching FM I for the Institute of Physical Art. Andreas also assists the IPA in gathering and organizing relevant research to help lay the scientific and theoretical ground work to support the FM approach. Andreas is also a board member for the IPA’s Institutional Review Board to approve research grants dedicated to manual physical therapy.
Andreas is married to his wonderful wife, Kimberly, a fellow physical therapist. They have two children and a loveable golden retriever and live in Austin, TX
